The Chicago Cubs defeated the Baltimore Orioles 1-0 on Friday, with rookie Cade Horton pitching two-hit ball over five innings. The game featured a tribute to late Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg. Commissioner Rob Manfred also announced that the 2027 All-Star Game will be held at Wrigley Field. The Cubs' win keeps them close to the NL Central-leading Brewers.
