💨 Abstract
Mark Burhoe, a 20-year veteran of the Montgomery County Police Department in Maryland, was arrested on July 10, 2025, on charges of possessing child sexual abuse materials. Montgomery County police, who described the allegations as "deeply troubling," suspended Burhoe without pay. The department will conduct an internal investigation. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest, but declined to comment.
