A man was fatally shot on Sunday evening in his Northwest D.C. apartment when a stray bullet from outside penetrated the building. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the Columbia Heights area, and police do not believe he was the intended target. police are actively investigating the case and offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Executive Assistant Chief Andre Wright emphasized the tragedy and the need for community safety.
