An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for D.C. through Tuesday, with temperatures reaching the upper 90s and heat indices over 105. The city has opened cooling centers and advised residents to stay indoors, hydrate, and wear appropriate clothing. Libraries, recreation centers, and senior wellness facilities are designated relief spots. The public is urged to check on vulnerable individuals and report those in distress to the Hypothermia/Hyperthermia Hotline.
