Several Smithsonian museums, including the Hirshhorn, Asian Art, African Art, and American Indian museums, were closed for about three days due to HVAC issues caused by an internal power problem. This closure disappointed tourists, especially those visiting from out of town. The Smithsonian recommended visiting other locations and provided updates via QR codes and their website.
