💨 Abstract
In 1999, Susan Cvengros was found murdered in her Northeast D.C. apartment. The case remained unsolved until 2025, when 70-year-old George Mudd was arrested for her first-degree murder. Despite his initial denials and claims of a consensual relationship, recent DNA evidence linked Mudd to the crime. Prosecutors highlighted Mudd's past convictions involving women and knifes.
