💨 Abstract

The D.C. Council missed its deadline to vote on the $3.7 billion RFK Stadium redevelopment, threatening the future of the project. The timeline included an exclusivity window with the Washington Commanders, who wish to return to D.C. Despite preliminary budget approval, the council excluded binding language, pushing the final decision to September. Council Chair Phil Mendelson described meetings with the Commanders as productive.
