The Washington Metro is testing a new fare payment system called Tap Ride Go, which allows riders to use credit cards, debit cards, or phones to pay for Metrorail rides at turnstiles. Testing is underway and aims to be systemwide by the end of May 2025 with Metrorail Metro General Manager Randy Clarke leading the effort.While
