💨 Abstract
Less than a week after firing its coach, D.C. United appointed René Weiler as the new manager pending the required work permit. Weiler, 51, is known for his successful stints with clubs like Anderlecht, Al Ahly, and Servette FC. He aims to “lead this club back to competing at the highest level in MLS,” taking over a team in 13th place with 12 games left in the season.
