💨 Abstract
In Mali, the "Shifin ni Tagne" (meaning "our future") project, funded by USAID, taught around 20,000 young Malians to read and write in their local languages. The program, which also provided vocational skills, was a lifeline for many in a country where 70% of the population is illiterate.
