💨 Abstract
A 20-year-old Purdue University student from South Korea, Yeonsoo Go, was detained after an immigration hearing for allegedly overstaying her visa. Despite her family and religious community's insistence that she had a valid visa, she was held for three nights before being released without explanation. Faith leaders and politicians had advocated for her release, and she was reunited with her family in Manhattan.
