💨 Abstract
A former Brown University student, Claudio Neves Valente, was found dead after a mass shooting at Brown and the murder of an MIT professor. Valente, a Portuguese national, killed two students and wounded nine others at Brown, then murdered MIT professor Nuno Loureiro. He was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a New Hampshire storage facility. Valente had a history with Loureiro from their time in Portugal. His motive remains unknown.
