💨 Abstract
A federal judge ruled that Russian soprano Anna Netrebko can proceed with her lawsuit against the Metropolitan Opera, accusing them of national origin discrimination. The Met dropped her after she refused to condemn Vladimir Putin over Russia's actions in Ukraine. The opera replaced her with a Ukrainian soprano. The judge also allowed Netrebko's gender discrimination claim to proceed, citing favorable treatment of male counterparts with similar connections to Russia.
