💨 Abstract
Ethiopia launched a campaign to plant 700 million trees in a single day, aiming to reach 50 billion by 2026. Led by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, the reforestation drive has planted 40 billion seedlings since 2019. Around 355 million seedlings were planted by 14.9 million people this year, although government figures could not be verified.
