💨 Abstract
Robert A. Caro, a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, has been named the first Founders Historian Laureate by The New York Historical. Caro, known for his works on Robert Moses and Lyndon Johnson, will be honored at a gala where Gustavo Dudamel, incoming director of the New York Philharmonic, will also receive an award for his contributions to music and social change. Caro's archives are housed at the museum, which has an exhibit on his work "The Power Broker."
