💨 Abstract

In Georgia, protests against the ruling Georgian Dream party continue, with two opposition leaders detained in recent days. Nika Melia, of the pro-Western Coalition for Change, was arrested for allegedly insulting a law enforcement officer. Previously, Zurab Japaridze was detained for refusing to testify before a parliamentary commission. Opposition figures accuse the government of politically motivated arrests.
