💨 Abstract
The article discusses the dwindling and revitalization efforts of Cypriot Maronite Arabic, or Sanna. This language, spoken by 900 people worldwide, is at risk of extinction. Primarily found in the village of Kormakitis, Cyprus, Sanna is a blend of Syrian Arabic and Greek. Historically passed orally, efforts are now underway, supported by the Cypriot government and EU, to preserve the language through education and creating a written script.
