đź’¨ Abstract
On Memorial Day, the National Park Service and the Friends of the National World War II Memorial held a ceremony to honor the 400,000 Americans who died in World War II. Six veterans attended, including 97-year-old Harry Miller and 100-year-old Jim Behrend. Miller served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, while Behrend served in the Navy during WWII. Both veterans shared their experiences and the importance of remembering history.
