💨 Abstract
Lucy, the 3.2 million-year-old fossil of an early human ancestor, has left Ethiopia for a display in the Czech National Museum in Prague. The 40% complete skeleton of Australopithecus afarensis will be shown for two months, alongside the fossil of an Australopithecus baby named Selam. This move, while providing a global opportunity to appreciate the fossil, raises concerns about the safety and preservation of Lucy’s fragile bones.
