💨 Abstract
The U.S. has imposed higher tariffs on goods from nearly 70 trading partners, with some countries facing up to 55% duties for their exports. These tariffs, some of the highest in nearly a century, are expected to raise U.S. consumer prices by about 1.8%, equivalent to a $2,400 income loss per household annually.
