💨 Abstract
In a move aligned with broader immigration policies, the U.S. has paused routine visa applications for Zimbabwean citizens. This follows a new policy requiring citizens of Malawi and Zambia to pay a bond of up to $15,000 for tourist or business visas, forfeited if they overstay. The U.S. aims to prevent visa overstays and misuse, with most diplomatic visas exempt.
