💨 Abstract
Layla Moore, a fourth grader from Burke, Virginia, is leading in the National Wildlife Federation’s Jr. Ranger contest. Known for her passion for wildlife, especially endangered species and animals often disliked by others, Layla hopes to use the $20,000 prize to support the Smithsonian National Zoo’s conservation efforts. Her mom, Meghan, notes Layla's enthusiasm for educating others about nature and wildlife. Voting for the contest ends this Thursday.
