💨 Abstract
Virginia Task Force 1 returned from Texas after helping with flood response, where they searched over 60 miles of shoreline for missing persons. The team included canines from Fairfax County and handlers from Maryland, working with responders from other states. They operated daily from sunrise until 3 p.m., ensuring the dogs' health and treating their feet for abrasions. The rapid water rise caught many victims off guard, leading to over 100 deaths.
