The U.S. Capitol Police has appointed Michael Sullivan as its new chief, effective June 30. Sullivan, who previously served as interim chief of the Phoenix Police Department, brings over 30 years of law enforcement experience. He is known for his work in increasing transparency, improving efficiency, and fostering community relations. Sullivan will replace former chief Tom Manger, who retired in May. He is expected to implement strategic approaches to optimize resources and ensure the safety of Congress and its visitors.
