💨 Abstract

On June 13, 2025, approximately 60 protesters were arrested near the U.S. Capitol while demonstrating against President Trump's Army anniversary parade and the deployment of National Guard troops. The protest, organized by Veterans for Peace, aimed to oppose military presence on city streets and advocate for investments in social services. Arrests were made for charges including unlawful demonstration, and some faced additional charges of assault and resisting arrest.
