💨 Abstract

A federal judge declined the American Library Association's request to stop the Trump administration from dismantling the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Judge Richard Leon stated that the case should be heard in a different court that handles contractual claims. Trumps executive order had previously aimed to shut down the institute, halting grants and terminating staff. A separate Rhode Island court's order is currently preventing the shutdown. The administration is appealing this order.
