💨 Abstract
The U.S. House approved a major tax and spending bill, sending it to President Trump ahead of his July 4 deadline. The 887-page bill includes tax cuts, reduced spending on Medicaid and food stamps, and increased military and deportation funding. It's projected to leave 11.8 million Americans uninsured by 2034 and cut food stamp benefits for 3 million. The bill passed swiftly due to Republican control of both chambers and Trump's pressure.
