đź’¨ Abstract
With the Fourth of July holiday approaching, AAA predicts a record 72.2 million U.S. travelers, an increase of 1.7 million from last year. Most will travel by car due to affordable gas prices, but domestic airfares have surged due to decreased overseas travel. Travel expert Peter Greenberg advises booking flights and hotels early to avoid rising prices. He suggests considering college towns for deals and state parks as less crowded, more affordable alternatives to popular national parks.
