💨 Abstract
In Ahmedabad, India, rising temperatures have led to innovative solutions to combat extreme heat. After a 2010 heatwave killed over 1,300 people, the city implemented South Asia’s first heat action plan, which has been replicated across the region. The plan includes strategies for hospitals and citizens to respond to soaring temperatures, aiming to save hundreds of lives each summer.
