💨 Abstract
"Sacred Harp," a 180-year-old American folk tradition of singing in four-part harmony, remains vibrant in 2025. Singers gather for hours to sing from "The Sacred Harp," a unique songbook with shape notes, valuing both the music and the community. A new edition, first since 1991, is set for release in September, preserving history and adding new songs.
