💨 Abstract
Paris has reopened the Seine River to swimming for the first time in over 100 years. Thanks to a 1.4-billion-euro cleanup project, the river now meets European water quality standards. Swimmers, equipped with safety gear, jumped in at designated areas near the Eiffel Tower. Mayor Anne Hidalgo demonstrated her confidence by holding up a bottle of river water.
