💨 Abstract
The town of Herndon, Virginia, declared "Elden the Bear Day" to honor a young black bear named Elden. The bear was initially relocated from Maryland but returned to suburban areas. After being tranquilized and captured in Herndon, the hope is that Elden will settle down away from populated areas. The capture drew a large crowd and led to cheers when the bear was safely secured.
