💨 Abstract
A Virginia search and rescue team, led by Capt. Marc Campet, is headed to Texas to aid in flood recovery efforts after last weekend's devastating floods, which left over 120 people dead or missing. The team, including search dogs, will work as long as needed to assist in the challenging and steep terrain of south-central Kerr County. Meanwhile, a heat alert has been issued for the District of Columbia, with temperatures expected to reach near 90 degrees through Sunday.
