💨 Abstract
Flash flooding struck Westernport, Maryland, causing severe damage to an elementary school. Approximately 200 people, including 150 students and 50 adults, were evacuated from Westernport Elementary School. Two students, Quinton and William Wade, described the rapid and extensive flooding that trapped them inside the school. Their mother, Alley Wade, recounted her harrowing experience trying to reach her sons and praised the efforts of first responders and school faculty.
