💨 Abstract

In Hyattsville, Maryland, dozens of Cameroonian community members and allies rallied to support CASA, a national immigrant advocacy organization, against the termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Cameroonians and Afghans. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced in April that both countries' TPS would end. TPS is granted to nationals from countries where unsafe returns are prevalent, currently affecting 17,000 people from Afghanistan and Cameroon.
