Montgomery County’s Little League under 12 baseball team won the Maryland state championship, defeating Berlin 1-0. Pitchers Ben Murphy and Colton Jamieson delivered strong performances, with Murphy striking out four hitters. Landon Hodges scored the team's lone run, and Jaden Cuevas led in hits. Montgomery County will play a team from Pennsylvania in the regionals on August 3 in Bristol, Connecticut.
