đź’¨ Abstract
The Maryland Board of Public Works approved a plan to fund a monument honoring Black Marylanders who fought in the Revolutionary War. The monument will be placed on the grounds of the Maryland State House, replacing the former site of the Roger Brooke Taney statue, which was removed in 2017. Governor Aruna Miller emphasized the project's importance in acknowledging long-overdue justice.
