šØ Abstract
On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, Montgomery County law enforcement warned seniors about a scam involving fraudulent federal officers. Scammers impersonate financial institutions and then fake government officials, instructing seniors to convert their savings into gold bars and hand them over to "couriers." These couriers, who lack official uniforms or vehicles, often meet victims in public places. Seniors are advised to be wary of unsolicited calls and pop-up ads.
