💨 Abstract
Pennywise, a 302-pound loggerhead sea turtle, was brought to a Florida hospital after being hit by a boat. Too large for standard facilities, she was eventually scanned at an equine clinic. Surprisingly, scans revealed she was carrying eggs. Pennywise sustained significant injuries but was responding well to treatment. Her condition highlights the danger boats pose to nesting sea turtles, prompting officials to urge boaters to exercise caution during the nesting season.
