💨 Abstract
Christopher Scott Pritchard, 49, was sentenced to over nine years in prison and ordered to pay nearly $7 million for setting a 2021 fire that destroyed a Missouri church. Pritchard pleaded guilty to two felony counts of arson for the April 2021 blaze at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building in Cape Girardeau. He previously threatened to burn down the church and was found with church property and smelling of smoke.
