💨 Abstract
A federal judge in Oregon ruled that a voter-approved measure (Measure 119) requiring cannabis businesses to have labor peace agreements with unions was unconstitutional. The judge found that the measure violated free speech rights and was preempted by federal labor law. The measure was challenged by two cannabis companies, Ascend and Bubble’s Hash, who argued that it restricted their ability to express opinions about unions.
