The incident occurred after a fight among youths, where a 14-year-old boy fired a gun into the crowd, unintentionally hitting Jeffrey. Police are seeking the 14-year-old in connection with the shooting. Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson highlighted the unbearable pain of the girl's mother, emphasizing the devastating impact on the community.
