💨 Abstract

After 81 years, remains of four crew members from the World War II bomber "Heaven Can Wait" are returning home. The B-24 was shot down off New Guinea in 1944, with all 11 crew members presumed lost. A family-led investigation and Navy divers recovered remains of Staff Sgt. Eugene Darrigan, 2nd Lt. Thomas Kelly, 1st Lt. Herbert Tennyson, and 2nd Lt.
