💨 Abstract
A Colorado funeral home owner, Jon Hallford, is set to be sentenced for defrauding customers and misleading them about the disposal of nearly 190 bodies. Hallford admitted to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and corpse abuse. Families were given fake ashes and some had wrong bodies buried. Hallford and his co-owner also defrauded nearly $900,000 in COVID-19 aid, spending it on luxury items. Affected families have experienced emotional distress.
