💨 Abstract
The U.S. has approved lenacapvir, an HIV prevention shot given twice a year, which could significantly reduce new infections. The drug, branded as Yeztugo, showed nearly 100% effectiveness in preventing HIV in studies. However, access to this new option is uncertain due to healthcare upheavals and funding cuts.
