💨 Abstract

A preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) revealed that a March fire on an American Airlines plane in Denver was likely caused by improper maintenance in the right engine, which led to a fuel leak. The Boeing 737-800, carrying 178 people, diverted to Denver due to high engine vibrations and caught fire upon arrival. Passengers were evacuated, and 12 people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
