💨 Abstract
The Republican Party is gearing up for a potential rematch in Ohio's 9th Congressional District for the 2026 elections. Former state representative Derek Merrin, endorsed by Donald Trump, is challenging incumbent Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur. Merrin aims to pursue an "America First" agenda, strengthen the border, cut taxes, and support conservative leadership. He is joined by two other Republican candidates, Alea Nadeem and Wayne Kinsel.
