The August Egg Company recalled around 1.7 million brown organic and brown cage-free eggs due to a salmonella outbreak. At least 79 people across seven states fell ill, with 21 hospitalized. The recall affects eggs distributed between February and May. Symptoms include diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps.
