💨 Abstract
A federal appeals court panel upheld the approval of the Willow oil project in Alaska's North Slope. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that overturning the project would have severe consequences. The project, approved in 2023, is developed by ConocoPhillips Alaska and has support from Alaska's governor, congressional delegation, and local Native leaders.
