💨 Abstract
A Florida police officer reportedly aimed his gun at William McNeil Jr., a Black college student, before officers pulled him from his car and beat him. McNeil's video shows him being struck multiple times while officers' body camera footage presents conflicting narratives. Civil rights lawyers, including Ben Crump, called for the officers' termination and a federal lawsuit. McNeil suffered a brain injury and trauma. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office maintains the officers followed protocol, but the incident remains under internal investigation.
